With incredibly popular video games like Minecraft, it is immensely impressive that the game maintains its status despite its defiance from the accepted norms of video game design. The game lacks a lot, but it makes up for the missing parts in a plethora of ways that some would argue are far superior and more important. One of these methods is through user-generate modifications for the gameplay, wherein certain aspects of the game are changed to make the overall experience for the player much more enjoyable. The Team Up Mod for Minecraft is one of these mods, and it is evidence supporting the positive attributes of Minecraft.

Team Up Mod

What Is The Team Up Mod?

This relatively minuscule mod is entirely server-sided, allowing your server and your server members to generate sects within the game. The members are enabled to create these factions through a team-chat option, and the Team Up Mod is well-oriented to features focused on building teams. A JSON file is used instead of a .jar, and this allows the mod to be edited and controlled through the game.

What Does The mod do?

By employing the use of certain prefixes in conjunction with typed commands, players can form their own teams designed to their specifications. When typing any command, though, it is imperative that the prefix “/teamup” is used for successful application. You can type, “CreateTeam” along with the prospective team name to instigate, and subsequently update things like the color, the members, and other such aspects. You can choose to leave and delete the team as well, in addition to being able to reload the team list. The team chat is available exclusively for team members, which makes it a comfortable and positive environment for the entire game.

How Do You Install?

In order to properly install the Team Up Mod 1.7.10 – 1.10.2-1.11, it is important to remember that the mod itself is entirely server sided, which means that the installation need only happen on the server. This is how the mod is controlled and updated within the context of the game, and that is why it is a JSON file instead of the usual .jar file that gets stored in the Minecraft folder. The server aspect of this mod makes it much more user friendly and easy to use.
